ATH Celebrates 10th Anniversary
ATH Chairman Kanti Tapoo, who also announced his retirement from the Company today revealed that plans to merge Telecom Fiji Limited and FINTEL continue which will open many opportunities for the group of companies.
ATH CEO Tomasi Vakatora also announced that ATH's plans for a technology park in Vatuwaqa are currently on hold until the group is satisfied with its commercial viability.
ATH also reiterated today that with a new player entering the mobile phone market, further reductions in tariffs is inevitable to ensure customers get the best services and the lowest prices.
And as Tapoo announced his retirement, the Permanent Secretary for Labour Taito Waqa was appointed as a new board member of ATH and the Board would now meet to appoint a new chairman of the group.
Meanwhile, ATH announced a net profit after tax of $46.1 million and will pay out $37 million in dividend to shareholders.
