The legal counsel for APRIL Development, Renee Lal has hit out at the statements made by FNPF board member, Felix Anthony on APRILS' involvement in fraudulent practice, on the Natadola resort project.

In a statement, Lal said the Ernst and Young audit of the Fiji National Provident Fund has found no evidence of fraud in the involvement of APRIL in the Natandola resort project.

Lal said Anthony has made false and extremely damaging comments against APRIL and its directors and added they are grossly defamatory.

Lal adds Anthony has seriously injured the reputations of the company and its board members and held them up to public odium and contempt.

In the statement APRIL has also rejected Anthony's statement that the audit does not include Natandola Land Holdings Ltd and Natandola Bay resort Ltd.

Meanwhile, when Village News contacted Anthony this afternoon, he said he will not waste his time commenting on the statement released by Lal.
