The East versus West rugby challenge received a timely boost today after international insurance giants AON secured the naming rights for the series.

AON is known worldwide for sponsoring English soccer champion Manchester United.

Fiji Sports Council chairman Peter Mazey said AON is giving $50,000 for the series.

Sports Council CEO Litiana Loabuka said the money will ensure that the players are well looked after.

The Sports Council is spending around $200,000 for the three matches.

The first AON East versus West match will be held this Saturday at the ANZ Stadium at 4pm.
