Last years Deans semifinalist, Assemblies of God High School have started their Southern division rugby competition on a high after thumping Laucala Bay Secondary 40-0 this afternoon.
In another Under 18 grade match, John Wesley College beat Ratu Sukuna Memorial school 8-3.
In the Under 17 grade matches, Marist Brothers High beat Laucala Bay Secondary 6-nil, Gospel High edged Latter Day Saints 8-7, Lami High School defeated Basden College 12-5, Nasinu Secondary lost 9-3 to Assemblies of God while Suva Grammar school defeated Cathedral Secondary 22-0.
In the Under 14 grade, Marist Brothers High beat Suva Grammar 13-0.
The matches were played at the Suva Grammar School grounds.
