Assemblies of God High School will now carry the hopes of the Southern zone Under 18 in the Deans competition.
Defending Southern zone champions Nasinu Secondary and Marist Brothers High School were both beaten in the quarter finals yesterday.
Nasinu drew 3 all with Lelean but were declared the winner for scoring the first points in the game after extra time was given.
A courageous Marist side went down fighting 16-8 to defending Deans champions QVS.
QVS now has three teams in the semifinals which are the Under 14, 16 and 18 while Marist will feature in the Under 14 and 15.
Lelean have booked a semifinal berth in the Under 16 and in the Under 17 RSMS and RKS both progressed to the semifinals next week.
The rest of the quarter finals will be held at Prince Charles Park this Saturday.
