The Assemblies of God High School Under 18 rugby side’s coaching staff are not happy with an administrative issue before their semifinal clash against Queen Victoria School last Saturday.

AOG Head Coach Eroni Vereivalu said one of their key players, Manoa Gadai was advised by the doctor that he cannot play due to a swollen leg so Joeli Vulavou was called to replace him.

Vereivalu added when the team had their ID card checks, Vulavou was told that he cannot play because his ID has been tampered with.

A disappointed Vereivalu also said that this was the same ID that Vulavou had used a week earlier against Navuso Methodist High School in the quarterfinal at the ANZ Stadium.

AOG had to make an eleventh hour change in their lineup due to the issue which Vereivalu said it was a psychological disadvantage to his side but they have written a letter to the Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union about it.

Meanwhile, Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union President Napolioni Silatolu said they are aware of the issue and the Executives will meet this Wednesday to discuss it.

The outcome of this will not have any effect on the tier 1 U18 final.

The Coke Zero Deans finals will be held next week but the tier two finals will be played this Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
