Assemblies of God High School Under 18 rugby side defeated Marist Brothers High School 21-13 in the Southern Zone Secondary School’s rugby quarter finals.

The loss means Marist will not feature in this year’s Coca Cola Zero Deans competition.

In another quarterfinal John Wesley College thrashed Nabua Secondary School 32 nil to book their semi finals berth while Suva Grammar lost to RSMS 16-12 and defending champions Nasinu thumped Laucala Bay Secondary School 50-6.

Nasinu Secondary School thrashed Cathedral Secondary 37 nil in the Under 17 while Laucala Bay Secondary lost 29 nil to John Wesley College.

Marist defeated Gospel 29-8 in the other Under 17 quarterfinal while Suva Grammar beat Dudley 38-9.

The semifinals will be held next week.

In the Under 16 Suva Grammar hammered Ratu Sukuna Memorial School 13 nil.

Meanwhile, Lautoka Muslim College caused the upset of the day in the Under 15 grade of the Lautoka Secondary Schools rugby competition today after beating Natabua High School 15-10.
 
In the Under 16 Natabua thrashed Saint Thomas 34-10.

This is the final round of competition for the Lautoka district before the top two teams from Lautoka will meet the top two teams from Nadi in each grade to decide who will represent the Western Zone Two in the Coca Cola Zero Deans quarter finals.
