The senior executives of the ANZ Bank, which is the largest financier for the Tourism Industry in Fiji, this morning had a meeting with the Interim Tourism Minister in relation to more investment opportunities in the industry.

Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the ANZ CEO for Asia Pacific Region and the Pacific Mike Smith is keen on investing in water activities for hotels built on our foreshores.

Sayed-Khaiyum added there are not enough water activities for coastal hotels.

He said they had discussions about ANZ's role in Fiji and the liberalization of the Fijian economy.

Sayed-Khaiyum said there have been a number of changes in the Foreign Investment regulation and overseas investors have been given the opportunity to get coastal trading licenses.
