The Attorney General and Minister for Trade, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum this morning revealed that he has had talks with 2 Chinese companies interested in investing in Fiji.

Sayed-Khaiyum said the 14 representatives from the two Chinese companies have come forward with proposals ranging from setting up a cement factory, slipway facilities, investing in Agriculture, Port facilities as well as hardware opportunities and education.

He added that although no time frame has been set on when the companies will start operations, these investors are the 3rd group to enter the country to set up a cement factory and interest in Fiji is increasing.
