The Government has received positive response from the diplomatic Corp of the international community on the preparations for 2014 elections.
The Attorney General met with eighteen members of the Diplomatic Corp today and reassured them on the Government's role and the time frame on when the voter registration will commence and the whole process of the elections in 2014.
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the meeting was a positive one and they believe it was a step forward for the Government.
He highlighted the process expected to be taken leading to the elections.
The briefing was requested by the High Commissioner of Papua New Guinea, Peter Eafeare.
The country representatives who attended the briefing were from the US, India, Britain, China, Australia, NZ, PNG, Japan, Indonesia, France, South Africa, Solomon Islands, the EU, Malaysia, Korea, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and UNDP.
