The Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is expected to speak to more than 80 chiefs and Tikina representatives of the Ba Provincial council tonight.

Permanent Secretary for Tourism, Taina Tagicakibau confirmed that Sayed-Khaiyum will speak to the chiefs on the Government's intentions on the Tourism Industry.

Chairman of the Council, Ratu Meli Saukuru said he told the members this morning that they need to hear from the Minister as 51 percent of the Tourism and hotel Industry is within the province of Ba.

The meeting will be held at 7pm at Studio Six in Suva.    

Meanwhile, the chiefs of Ba took time from their first day of the Provincial Council meeting to visit the 35 inmates who are from Ba at the Naboro, Korovou and Nasinu prisons.

Prison Coordinator for the province, Luke Ratuvuki said this is the first time for the provincial Council to visit the inmates and prison authorities have made arrangement for the visit this afternoon.

Taukei Navo, Ratu Meli Saukuru said the visit is important as Tikina Heads will speak to the inmates and will encourage them to return to the village after serving their sentences in court.
