The SDL Party said the interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has hoodwinked the nation for too long.
National Director Peceli Kinivuwai made the comment after Khaiyum questioned the timing and manner of which the EU Troika Mission report was made public.
Khaiyum said it was dubious that the statement was issued on a Saturday morning when it could have been first given to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday or today. [Monday]
However, Kinivuai said it’s a shallow excuse from Sayed-Khaiyum because he knows that the promise of having elections in March 2009 won't eventuate.
Khaiyum is expected to comment later today on the matter raised by the SDL Party.
