A memorandum of understanding to help Pacific countries achieve broad-based economic growth, social development and good governance was today signed between the Asian Development Bank and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat.

Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat secretary general Tuiloma Slade said this arrangement will build regional cooperation especially when the region faces significant economic challenges both from within and external factors.

ADB Pacific Department director general S.Hafeez Rahman said the arrangement aims to help member countries capture the benefits of regional cooperation.

The MOU will also support the implementation of the Pacific Plan.
