ACS/Lealean retain Triple N titles
ACS retained their girls title with 24 gold, 20 silver and 7 bronze, Silia Central with 4 gold 5 silver and 7 bronze and third was Rewa Secondary with 4 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.
In the Boys division, Lelean Memorial School also retained their title with 13 gold, 13 silver and 5 bronze, second is Silia Central with 12 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze and third is Rewa Secondary with 9 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze.
Records continue to tumble at the zone.
Reigning Coca Cola Games 100 and 200 meters girls champion Elenoa Sailosi of ACS broke two records this afternoon in the 100 and 200 meters.
Sailosi clocked a time of 12.05secs in the 100m to break the old record of 12.13secs set by her last year. In the 200m she also broke her own record and the triple N record of 25.25secs with a new time of 24.60secs.
Another athlete to look out for in this year’s Coca Cola games is Jope Tuivanuavou of Lelean who also broke two records today.
Tuivanuavou broke the first record in the junior boy’s javelin with a throw of 44.53 meters and managed to repeat his performance in the shot put event where he broke the triple N record with a throw of 12.58 meters.
Tuivanuavou says he has been preparing from last year as he wants to create history in this year’s Coca Cola games.
In the Senior boys 200m Waisake Raselala of Sila Central School clocked a time of 22.03secs to break the Triple N zone record of 22.62secs.
