2003 South Pacific Games (SPG) blue ribbon champion John Lum Kon has warned the Adi Cakobau School (ACS) team that they will have to step up their preparation with only two weeks left for the Coca-Cola Games.
After watching ACS win 28 gold medals in the Triple N Zone, Lum Kon said the biggest challenge for the girls from Sawani is whether they can improve their performance to defend the girls division title.
Last weekend in the Easter Games, ACS sprinters established themselves as favourites in their respective events.
Junior grade sprinter Elenoa Sailosi and intergrades, Seleima Baleivesi stamped their mark in the 100m and 200m events.
Sailosi, who broke the junior girls 100 metre record in the Triple N Zone with a time of 12.4 seconds came second to sprint queen, Makelesi Bulikiobo.
Balevesi came in 3rd but won the 200 metre events in the Easter competition.
The Coca-Cola Games will be held at the TFL Stadium from the 1st to the 2nd of May.
