Defending champion of the Coca Cola games, Adi Cakobau school is bracing for the toughest ever competition in the girl’s division this year.

The girls from Waimanu will face stiff competition from schools like Suva Grammar school, Jasper Williams High from Lautoka and Wainimakutu Secondary.

ACS won 11 gold medals last year while Suva Grammar school was close in second with nine gold medals.

ACS Coach, Komera Tuicakau said it will come down to the day which school performs better.


Lautoka’s Jasper Williams High school is also tipped to rake in some gold medals with the inclusion of Nadarivatu sisters, Mereseini Naidau and Sereima Liku.

Coach, Antonio Raboiliku said they are also coming to stamp their mark at this year’s games.

The 100 metres heats start at 5.25pm tomorrow while the Senior Boys final will kick off at about 8.10pm tomorrow.
