Adi Cakobau School is expected to retain the Girls division title at the Triple N zone after they dominated the 100 and 400 metres heats at the TFL National Stadium.

The girls from Sawani also lead the medal tally at the moment with 2 gold and 3 silver.

Lelean is in second place with 2 gold and 1 bronze.

ACS long distance runner Akesa Drotini today competed in the 400 metres heat and came first in a time of 1 minute.

This is the new event she is trying out this year and is confident to also stamp her mark at the Coca Cola Games next month.

Looking at the boys division Lelean Memorial School leads with 3 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze. Sila Central is second with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze.

Meanwhile, some school students from the Nasinu, Nausori and Naitasiri areas say this year's Triple N Zone competition will be tough and interesting.
