Adi Cakobau School prevented Saint Joseph’s Secondary school in making a clean sweep in the Tuckers Fiji Secondary School Basketball Championship.

ACS beat Saint Joseph 26-24 in a nail biting Under 19 final last night.

ACS dominated every aspect of the game as the Waimanu girls never looked back to claim victory after last winning in 2010.

Captain Ellen Panapasa said they wanted to make amends to their loss in last year’s final.

 
Saint Joseph’s defended their title in the Under 15 after thrashing LDS 22-9 and in the Under 17, Saint Joseph also defended their title thrashing Gospel 43-27.

Meanwhile, in the boys division, Marist Brothers High School managed to defend their Under 19 title after edging Natabua High School 37-36.

Latter Day Saints College dethroned Marist Brothers High School’s Under 15 26-16 and in the Under 17 final, Laucala Bay Secondary beat Natabua 31-26.
