The favorite tag is on defending Coca-Cola Games champion Adi Cakobau School (ACS) in the Girls' division and Suva Grammar for the boys to retain their title at the TFL Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
After recording impressive results in their respective Zones both ACS and Suva Grammar will come into the 2 day event with hopes of being crowned the 2009 champions again.
In the Sawani girls camp the only set back is on Sera Tuinalase who is likely to miss the Coke Games because of sickness.
But the depth in the squad should give the 7 time champion an edge against their toughest opponents Suva Grammar.
Head Coach Komera Tuicakau said preparations have fallen into place with the ultimate goal in mind which is to do better than last year’s results.
They will be led by Saraseini Savua who currently holds the records in the Shot Put with a throw of 13.12 metres.
In the boys division the Lions Camp is ready to give a big roar at the 2 day event.
While they have adopted the same approach to last year's Coke Games in keeping a low profile, the names in the squad is an indication of how strong they will come out to defend the Boys' title.
Under the watchful eyes of SPG Sprint King Jone Delai the likes of Isoa Me, Mataiasi Savou, Lepani Naivalu, Eroni Cagi and Sireli Degei are in the running for gold medals.
Athletics Fiji Coach Albert Miller said Grammar will still have competition from schools outside Suva.
The Coca-Cola Games will kick off tomorrow at 8am at the TFL Stadium.
