The All Blacks have touched down in Auckland.

More than 3,000 supporters gathered at Auckland Airport to welcome the team chanting, “All Blacks, All Blacks”, when their heroes stepped off the bus and walked on to the stage.

Captain Richie McCaw addressed the crowd on behalf of the team and thanked everyone for their backing and stressed that, “Come October 23, we have a goal in mind and we will do our best”.

The All Blacks meet Tonga at 8:30pm next Friday in the opening game of the Rugby World Cup at Eden Park while the Flying Fijians meet Namibia at 3:30pm on Saturday at Invercargill.

A live commentary of the match can be heard on our sister station, Viti-FM with Malakai Veisamasama and Ilivasi Tabua.
