As we pay tribute to mothers around the country on this Mothers day, a mother of five children who is also a Resident Magistrate believes that all Homes for the elderly should be closed down and children should be made to look after their aging parents.
Magistrate Alofa Seruvatu said children must realize that mothers dedicate their lives to them and they do not deserve to be sent to away when they get old.
Meanwhile, in most households, it was a day where mothers were served by their children during lunch while for those who have lost their beloved mothers it was a time to reflect on their teachings and values.
