A lot of work will have to be put in by the Fiji Warriors and Fiji Barbarians team ahead of this week’s opening Pacific Cup round.

After yesterday trial match where the Warriors beat the Barbarians 12-10 both sides committed a lot of errors could be costly against the Tongans and Samoan sides.

Warriors Coach Iliesa Tanivula has named a strong 26 member team which includes 4 players that were part of the Fiji 15's rugby team to the Rugby World Cup last year.

The likes of Vereniki Sauturaga, Aca Ratuva, Alefoso Yalayala-tabua and Waisea Luveniyali will spear-head the side in their campaign to become the first local side to win the Pacific Cup title.

In the Barbarians camp Coach Eddie Waqa has the services of former national 7's rep Vima Tuidraki, Aminiasi Nava and Simeli Koniferedi.

The Fiji Warriors will take on Tautahi Gold of Tonga on Friday at 7pm in Churchill Park while on Saturday in Apia the Fiji Barbarians faces Savaii Samoa.
