The President of the Fiji Employer's Federation said a lot of thought should be put into the power sharing the idea put forward by the FEA, because in the long run it will undoubtedly affect employment.
Dixon Seeto said while it's a good idea for FEA to request businesses to generate their own electricity, he said it is a situation where everyone will be affected.
Seeto said people will be affected if FEA fails to supply electricity to businesses.
The Fiji Electricity Authority had yesterday announced plans to request 40 businesses to generate their own electricity to share the load as the Authority will only be able to cater for residential areas.
