Tropical Cyclone Gene was located near 18 decimal 4 South 174 decimal 9 East or about 200 kilometers West South West of Nadi at 3am today. The cyclone is moving South West at 15 kilometers per hour away from Nadi.
However, Nadi Weather Office Director Rajendra Prasad stresses that the effects of the cyclone will result in continuous heavy rain and flash flooding and flooding of rivers and creeks is expected today.
