A single decision made by you can have an impact on the non creation or loss of the opportunity of hundreds of jobs.

These are the words of the Interim Minister for Tourism, Trade and Communication Aiyaz-Sayed Khayum while launching the Ministry's Annual Corporate Planning Workshop at JJ's on the Park this morning.

Sayed-Khayum said being members of the Tourism Ministry which is the largest contributor to the national GDP, their role is vital and has urged them to take incoming proposals for the industry seriously as they will have a major impact on the economy.

Sayed-Khayum reminded the participants of the workshop that they are not operating in a vacuum and must work with other government ministries to be able to facilitate a particular outcome that will benefit the economy.

The workshop ends this afternoon.
