A total of 950 homes have been infested by termites in Lautoka while a total of 11,700 homes have been surveyed by the Operation Kadivuka teams so far.
Spokeswoman, Rosa Dalituicama said teams from Operation Kadivuka have started treatment of infested homes and has urged residents to wait for the team who have been trained to carry out the treatment of their homes.
This after the teams discovered that over the last two weeks infested materials were tampered and destroyed by some residents.
Meanwhile, she added that as of Friday a total of 11,700 homes were surveyed out of which 950 homes have been infested by termites, 236 homes have been treated and out of 2285 trees that have been infested 276 have been treated.
