The wife of Fiji's second Speaker of the Legislative Council, Sir Maurice Scott has passed away.
Her son who was born in Fiji, Owen Scott said his 90 year old mother, Pamela Mary Scott who arrived in Fiji in the 1940's passed away in New Zealand on Sunday.
Speaking from NZ today, Scott said his mother always had very fond memories of Fiji and always used to say "moce" to him every night.
Scott said his mother will be laid to rest in NZ and he is planning to incorporate something Fijian in the funeral.
Mrs Scott was also the mother of the late former Director General of the Fiji Red Cross, John Scott.
