The Health Ministry has confirmed that more than 90 percent of children born in Fiji are immunized for diseases such as polio, meningitis, measles and rubella.

Former head of pediatrician, Dr Lisi Tikoduadua made this revelation at the Pacific Island Health practitioner’s workshop currently being held at the Sheraton Hotel in Nadi.

Dr Tikoduadua added immunization is very important, especially for young girls to be immunized for Rubella.
