The Fiji Football Association may not have 90 minutes of soccer in major tournaments from next season.

A resolution was passed in one of the Fiji FA meetings to have 90 minutes of soccer in major tournaments from next season because there will be only eight teams competing in the Super Premier division while two teams will be demoted at the end of this season.

Fiji FA had 90 minutes of soccer in tournaments before and it was a flop, because the rule states that teams must be given 24 hours rest if they are playing 90 minutes of soccer.

Fiji FA president Dr Samsud Dean Sahu Khan said district officials have written to him and it seems they are happy with the current format of having 60 minutes of soccer in tournaments.
