A nine year old girl has lost her life after she was hit by a vehicle yesterday.
Director CID Waisea Vakamocea confirms the girl was crossing the Nasinu road yesterday afternoon when she was hit by a car.
Police say the girl had managed to cross the road but the car which was overtaking a truck, hit her.
The girl was rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Police are awaiting the girl's post-mortem result after which the driver is expected to be questioned.
