Fiji will be represented in nine sports at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland.

Swimming, weightlifting, table tennis, badminton, cycling, judo, squash, lawn bowls, shooting, power lifting and triathlon are the confirmed sports meaning that rugby sevens and netball will not be represented.

FASANOC President Reg Sanday said FASANOC will be sending a small team with less than 20 athletes to the Commonwealth Games.

Sanday said the Commonwealth Games Federation will fund Team Fiji along with FASANOC’s savings.

He said they do not want athletes to contribute for the funding.

Sanday added FASANOC also discussed their future plans.

The Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from the 23rd of July to the 3rd of August.
