With $84 million in tax arrears for this year, the Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority (FIRCA) is urging everyone to get their taxes in order and do the right thing, be honest.
CEO Jitoko Tikolevu said so far their arrears have decreased from late last year however adding the Authority will try to improve on this figure this year.
He said the paying of taxes is the responsibility of the individual and urges everyone to do right by their taxes.
Tikolevu said those responsible for the $84 million in arrears are not from one particular group but from across the board, they are businesses and individuals.
