Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Feoko Gadekibau, Barbados Mills, Sivaniolo Naulago, Metuisela Mua, Eparama Waqatairewa, Kaminieli Vosavere and Pauliasi Namulo will this morning be sentenced after being found guilty of conspiring to murder the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama.

The 5 assessors in the trial yesterday returned to the High Court with a unanimous guilty verdict for the accused.

High Court Judge Justice Paul Madigan also found the 8 men guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

The maximum sentence for conspiracy to murder is 14 years imprisonment.
