Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Feoko Gadekibau, Barbados Mills, Sivaniolo Naulago, Metuisela Mua, Eparama Waqatairewa, Kaminieli Vosavere and Pauliasi Namulo will start their mitigation this hour to try to get non-custodial sentences in their case.
Following the mitigation by the eight men, they will be sentenced by High Court Judge Justice Paul Madigan after being found guilty of conspiring to murder the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama.
The five assessors in the trial yesterday returned to the High Court with a unanimous guilty verdict for the accused.
High Court Judge, Justice Paul Madigan also found the eight men guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
The maximum sentence for conspiracy to murder is 14 years imprisonment.
