Labasa Police confirms they now have a total of 8 people in custody who are alleged to have been involved in several planned robbery cases in Labasa.
Police also confirm that the eight include the three men who are alleged to have murdered a taxi driver from Labasa recently.
It has also been confirmed that one of those in custody is thought to be the mastermind behind the robberies. Police managed to arrest him after a tip off when he was trying to run away to Taveuni from Buca bay.
It has been revealed that this group is alleged to be involved in more than 15 robbery cases in Labasa and was operating in groups of three.
Police say they will be charged soon. The eight are between 18 to 30 years of age.
