8 new cases of Pandemic H1N1 in the country have been confirmed in the past 24 hours.
The most number of cases are recorded in the capital city.
Health Ministry Media Liaison Officer Iliesa Tora said there are now 52 confirmed cases.
Tora said this brings the number of cases to 21 for Suva, 18 for Nadi and 13 in Lautoka.
In light of the major events taking place in the coming week, Tora is calling on people to take precautionary measures to prevent the number from increasing.
Tora is calling on people with even running nose, cough and headache to see the doctor immediately.
He said people have to understand that these are not normal times and any flu that seems normal could be H1N1.
