Eight Indian nationals are in the custody of the Immigration department after they were detained at the Nadi International airport with travel documents alleged to be fake late last week.

Director Immigration Nemani Vuniwaqa confirmed to Fijivillage that the 8 were detained after they verified that the job offer letters from a Company in New Zealand which they had were fake.

Vuniwaqa said a large sum of foreign currencies was also found on one of the Indian nationals.
