8 houses in Nasau village in Nalawa, Ra are without their roofs as they were blown away in the last hour.
Nasau District School teacher Joji Raqio said that the families have been evacuated to the school while the village hall is also open to those who are not secure at their homes.
Raqio confirmed that they are still experiencing strong winds and heavy rain.
Meanwhile, villagers of Yaroi ni Savusavu were taken by surprise again at 10pm tonight when they experienced heavy rain and strong winds again.
Speaking to Village News, Mereoni Tabakau said that the whole village is awake and some families have been moved to the village hall.
