There have been 8 confirmed dengue fever cases recorded in the Northern Division so far this year.
Ministry of Health Spokesperson Sunil Chandra says the patients are being treated at the Labasa Hospital.
Chandra says this is generally the period that dengue outbreaks can occur.
He adds the Ministry has advocated and encouraged clean ups from last year and members of the public should take responsibility in cleaning up the environment.
Around 1,000 dengue fever cases were recorded last year.
