An 8 year old boy is admitted at the Labasa Hospital after he was hit by a vehicle at Tabia, Labasa, yesterday afternoon.

The victim who is a class 3 student was crossing the road with another student when he fell down and as a result he was hit by the vehicle.

He received multiple injuries to his head and legs.

The 22 year old driver has been questioned and released pending investigations.

Meanwhile, a 30 year old man has been interviewed and released after 30 packets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana was found inside his house.

The Police Drug Unit conducted the search at his home in Davuilevu Housing yesterday.

Acting on information received, the Drug Unit conducted the search and found dried leaves together with some smoking apparatus.

The leaves have been sent to Koronivia research station for analysis.
