A seven year old girl died in Wainibuka, Korovou, yesterday after she was hit by a 10 wheeler truck.
Assistant police spokesperson Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the tragic incident happened yesterday afternoon when the girl was standing at a bus stop.
Police said the driver had parked the truck on the side of the road and had gone to meet someone when the truck rolled back and hit the girl.
The girl sustained serious injuries and died instantly.
Police are now questioning the truck driver.
