All 16 teams have started arriving in George for the second leg of the IRB series and hosts South Africa will be out to win the title on home-ground, after losing out to New Zealand last year.
Speaking to Village Sports, South Africa Coach Paul Treu said that they know that if they want to win again this weekend, they will have to work extra hard.
Meanwhile, New Zealand Coach Gordon Tietjens said that they just have to be confident and go in and tighten their defense unlike in Dubai in the finals, when they let Fiji come back in the second half.
The New Zealand 7's Team leads Pool A alongside England, Kenya and Zimbabwe and will play their first game against Kenya on Friday evening.
Heading Pool B is Fiji, with France, Canada and USA, in the third Pool is South Africa, Wales, Argentina and Uganda whilst Samoa, Australia, Scotland and Tunisia are in Pool D.
After the Dubai tournament, New Zealand are in first place on 20 points, second is Fiji on 16 points and tied in third place is England and South Africa on 12 points.
