The Digicel Fiji 7's team will not be taking part in the main competition in the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s tournament this weekend.
Coach Joe Savou said instead they will play a few warm-up games with clubs, to be arranged by the organizers.
Savou said it will not be fair to other teams if they field the Fiji team. Savou said in yesterday and today's training session their main focus was on defense which was a weak factor in the last four outings in the IRB circuit.
Meanwhile, New Zealand coach Gordon Tietgens said one of the key opponents to winning the IRB tournament is allowing his boys to take part in local tournaments to build confidence.
