Digicel Fiji Sevens coach Iliesa Tanivula is likely to travel to Chinese Taipei to defend the World Games title without a few key players.

Utility back Niumaia Cakacaka has not fully recovered from his injury which has forced him out of the team, while Jolame Bera and Waqabaca Kotobalavu have been recruited into the Fiji Military Force, and are currently going through their training programme.

Also Pio Tuwai will join the team after the Wardens play the Army Green in the Pillay Garment Cup Challenge this Saturday.

Tanivula is hoping for Jerry Burotu to arrive from New Zealand on Sunday and also for Osea Kolinisau to recover in time as he is still sick at the moment.

At training in the past few days the only experienced players in the team are Emosi Vucago, Nasoni Roko and they are joined by Watisoni Votu, Apisai Nayabo, Sean Morell and Dan Rawaqa.

The World Games in Chinese Taipei will kick-off on the 23rd of this month.
