It was not fatigue.
The Digicel Fiji 7s team underestimated their opponents and paid the price when they lost to Australia in the quarterfinals of the USA 7s.
That is the view of trainer Max Hughes who said the players tried to live up to their win in Wellington but could not settle down in their game in Las Vegas.
Hughes added the players did everything right in their preparation for the USA 7s adding the warm up game against England and Japan did not involve a lot of contact work.
The Fiji 7s team arrived this morning from Las Vegas and will now shift their focus to the Australia and Hong Kong 7s at the end of next month.
