The Digicel Fiji 7s team for the Hong Kong and Australia 7s will be known next week.

Fiji Rugby Union High Performance Unit manager Talemo Waqa has confirmed that it is likely they will name a squad of 16 players before finalizing the team on the 3rd week of March.

Waqa added that players who have been playing well for their respective teams during the recent tournaments have been monitored by the selectors and this weekend’s Marist 7s will be another chance for them to showcase their talent.

Meanwhile, France based Setefano Cakau is expected to join the Fiji Barbarians team tomorrow for the Marist 7s.

Coach Iliesa Tanivula said that Cakau will not have problems fitting into the team as he has been in the team for the past IRB Sevens Series.

The Marist 7s kicks off on Friday at 9am at the TFL Stadium with the winner walking away with $25,000.
