International Rugby Board development manager for the Oceania region Will Glenwright has picked the Fiji 7's team to successfully defend the gold medal in the Mini Games.

With the 7's tournament kicking off tomorrow, Glenwright said the presence of players who play for Fiji in the IRB 7's series like Pio Tuwai, Nasoni Roko, Emosi Vucago and Jerry Burotu, will see the Iliesa Tanivula coached side as the clear favourites to win the final.

But he has not ruled out the possibility of Papua New Guinea to cause an upset under the guidance of 7's wizard and former Fiji Coach Waisale Serevi.

Glenwright said there is alot of potential in the PNG team and it will be interesting to see if Serevi will impact the results of the game.

Fiji is in Pool A with Cook Islands, Niue, Tahiti and Wallis and Futuna.

They will play their opening game at 9.30am tomorrow against Wallis and Futuna.
