Only an hour and a half remains for the Digicel Fiji 7s team to take the field against Portugal in the first round of the IRB series that kicks off in Dubai.

Team manager Sale Sorovaki said the boys are "itching to get on with the game" and they have warned the Portuguese who are known as the Team of the Five Shields, that they are going to need more than shields to hold out the might of the Digicel Fijians.

Sorovaki said all that needs to be done at training has already been done, what is left now is how the boys will stick to the game plan and do what is required on the field.

The Dubai 7s tournament kicks off at 6.20pm this evening with the first match between Fiji and Portugal.

Fiji takes on France at 9.56pm and will battle against England in the last pool match at 3.30am tomorrow morning.
