The Digicel Fiji 7s team left our shores yesterday with the aim to end the 9-year winning drought at the So Kon Po stadium.
If Fiji progresses well and wins all their pool games - they are tipped to meet New Zealand again in the Hong Kong 7s final on Sunday evening.
Speaking to Fijivillage sports from Nadi Airport before leaving, team Manager Opetaia Ravai said Fiji has the potential to meet New Zealand but they will have to be composed and play well.
Fiji's first game will be against Korea at 9:14pm on Friday, then they meet Zimbabwe at 5:26pm on Saturday and their last pool game will be against Wales at 9:50pm in the evening.
The Hong Kong 7 kicks off at 8:30pm on Friday.
