The Digicel Fiji 7s team is in Pool D of the 2008 Hong Kong 7s with Wales, Korea and new-comers Zimbabwe.

The Josateki Savou coached side which has failed to win the last two legs of the IRB 7s series will also be out to end their 9 year losing drought in Hong Kong.

The last time Fiji won in Son Kon Po was in 1999 under the coaching of Peni Veidreyaki. The only other win in Hong Kong after that was the World Cup 7s in 2005.

Current IRB points leader New Zealand head Pool A alongside USA, Tunisia and Chinese Taipei.

Defending champion Samoa is in Pool B with England, Canada and Sri Lanka while South Africa leads Pool C with Argentina, Russia and Japan.

Kenya is the favorite in Pool E with Scotland, Portugal and China and Australia will be in Pool F with Tonga, France and Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong 7s tournament will be held from March 28th to 30th.
